Cake bites...YUM

I have been trying to keep the kids entertained today till it's time to get on the road. Decided we would make some cake bites(or cake balls). The kids, Haliegh 10, Andrew 9, Carter 5, and my niece Allie 4, had so much fun making these. They aren't the prettiest things in the world but they were made with love and they are so yummy!

Hoppy Easter!

Yay! It is spring break and Easter is almost here. The family and I are headed out this evening to go to Florida (which is 45 minutes away not a very long trip) and spend Easter weekend at my moms. I wanted to post this cute little card I made for my neighbor this past week. My daughter helped and we are happy with the way it turned out, soooo cute! =) I didn't have the right sentiment so we just used stickers. Like everything else we create, the paper and ribbon we used are from my scrap stash.The little bunny came from Create a Critter Cart. And we put a little bit of lime green stickles on the Alpha stickers and a white gel pen for the faux stitching, which was a first for us, and I think it made him turn out so adorable! A little green button and a yellow rhinestone in the middle topped it off.

Everyone needs their space...

I am a big believer that everyone needs a space to go and read, do homework, be creative, etc. So my husband and I made this table to the kids to have their space in the living area.  This table was so much fun and great together time for the hubby and I. The vinyl I got to match the chairs that we bought. I wanted a navy blue but I had already put 11 coats on and I thought the color looked good as it was. Now my kids have their space.

This is the table top with pink, blue, purple and green bubble circles.

This is about the color it really is.

And of course they had to have a little storage to go with it.

Sing you heart out....

I decorated this little notebook for my daughter. She is always writing song lyrics and poems on any piece of paper she can get her hands on. I was cleaning her room the other day and she had 15 different pieces of paper on her desk with little songs and poems jotted down. I decided to make her this so she could have them all in one place. I found the ribbon at wally world and thought is was so pretty. I wish I could have had pink paper that matched better but I just found this in my scraps. I didn't use any Cricut cartridges because I couldn't find a microphone I liked so I just drew on and cut it out. Sorry the pictures are blurry a new camera is on my wishlist! =)

April Showers....

I made this to enter into the Fantabulous Cricut, challenge me monday challenge. My inspiration came from my son who left his umbrella out in the yard a couple of days ago when we were having an April shower. The umbrella is from the sweethearts cart which I just cut two and layered them using the echo park spring time collection and the grass is from the straight from the nest cart.  All the other paper is just scraps. I buy a lot of scrap bundles so I can have a variety of paper. Thanks for looking!
